Ram Singh Mahavidyalaya

Dr.Bhim Rao Ambekar University (Formerly Agra University) Agra is one of the oldest universities of India. It was established with the pioneering efforts of great educationist and social leaders like Col.A.W.Davi s who was its first Vice-Chancellor. Shri K.P.Kichloo became its first administrator. It was fourteenth u niversity of India and the first affiliating university of Uttar Pradesh. Its jurisdiction was spread in United Provinces, Madhya Bharat and Rajputana. With development of higher education, 13 new universities emerged out of this university. At present there are 60 regular, 120 self finance colleges and 10 Homeop athic colleges affiliated to this university imparting higher education to about 2 lacs students in variou s fields. In addition to the large number of colleges affiliated to it, the university has its own in campus academic wing of several institutes imparting higher education in the field of science, education, physical education, law and social sciences etc.
